Dublin, Ireland. 9th November 2021 – Beyond by BearingPoint, a rapidly growing ecosystem orchestration and digital platform provider, today announced the completion of a management buyout from its parent company BearingPoint. The deal makes Beyond an independent technology company, giving it the flexibility and freedom it needs to capitalize on the fast-growing market for ecosystem orchestration and digital business platforms.
The management buyout was led by Angus Ward, CEO, Andreas Gabriel, CTO, and Barry Keane, COO, and is supported by a small group of professional investors. The company will trade as ‘Beyond by BearingPoint’ until the end of Q1 2022. BearingPoint and Beyond will continue to work together on shared customers with BearingPoint becoming a preferred partner for business consulting.
“BearingPoint is a management and technology consulting firm with European roots. Beyond is a high-growth technology company serving a global market. Our operating models and growth trajectories are very different. This is an exciting but logical next step in a journey we started four years ago when we introduced Beyond to the market. We have developed a strong business with a powerful go-to-market strategy that will continue to be executed under the new ownership and that will enable Beyond to expand and grow faster.”
Angus Ward, CEO, Beyond
Over the last four years, the concept of ecosystem orchestration and digital marketplaces has gone from a niche idea to a key requirement for companies to grow revenue. Beyond defined a vision for how companies can put this into practice, educated the market and became the thought leader on the topic, keynoting and moderating panels at major industry events like Mobile World Congress and Digital Transformation World.
Ecosystem orchestration and digital marketplaces are now key capabilities across the broad digital transformation landscape, with IDC anticipating the sector to be worth $7bn in 2024.
Alongside the automotive and technology sectors, telecoms is a particularly important industry for Beyond. Communications Service Providers have a key role in the curation and creation of ecosystems and smart connected solutions, particularly given the rollout of 5G. Today, Beyond works with leaders such as BT, NTT and Telia. Market traction is reflected in the rapid growth Beyond is experiencing for its SaaS BSS, digital marketplace and digital business platform solutions across all industries.
“There are many benefits to our separation. We will be able to move faster and more flexibly than ever before, helping our customers to capitalize on the rapidly evolving opportunities they face. We will be able to make longer-term decisions than what was possible within a partnership, move more quickly to increase our organizational agility, as well as expand faster in new geographies. And we will be able to further our vision and our strategy, creating new opportunities for our customers, our partners and our teams,” concludes Ward.
