• Bill Calculation and Formatting: The platforms handle bill calculation by creating invoices for billing accounts grouped by bill cycles. This process ensures that customers receive a single regular invoice per period based on the charges for their products, services, and resources. Once the bill calculation is complete, the results are formatted into invoices using predefined templates, which can be customized for different customer types.
   
• Customer Charging: The platforms support both usage and non-usage charges. Usage charges are based on service usage data, while non-usage charges include once-only, recurring, or installment charges. The platform provides tools to manage these charges effectively. There are two main types of charges in our platforms:
  • Usage Charges - are created based on usage data, that results from the usage of a service.
  • Non-Usage Charges -are all other charge types supported by the billing & charging capabilities such as once only, subscription, recurring or instalment charges.

• Billing Cycles and Periods: Billing cycles group billing accounts that are billed together periodically. Each billing account is assigned to a bill cycle, which can be changed but becomes effective with the start of the next billing period. 
   
• Charges and Credits: The platform allows for the addition of account-level allowances such as deposits, discounts, and installment charges. These can be configured and managed through the user interface.
